AutoEdge provides dealer-management software to independent automotive dealerships. This policy explains what information we collect when you use AutoEdge, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our web app, mobile apps, and autoedgeusa.com.
Your dealership data
AutoEdge never sells dealership or customer information.
Your dealership's operational data — including inventory, customers, deals, pricing, and documents — belongs to your dealership. We use this information only to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the AutoEdge platform on your behalf.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide when you create an account or operate your dealership in AutoEdge, information collected automatically as you use the product, and information from services you connect.
- Account & dealership details — name, email, role, dealership name and location.
- Operational data you enter — inventory, customers, leads, deals, and documents.
- Usage & device data — log data, device type, and in-product activity.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure the service, power features such as pricing insights and recommendations, communicate with you about your account, and improve AutoEdge over time. We do not sell your dealership or customer data.
Artificial intelligence
AutoEdge uses AI to provide recommendations, summaries, workflow assistance, pricing insights, and operational intelligence. AI features process only the information necessary to provide these services. We do not use your dealership's data to train public AI models.
Customer (shopper) data
Some information in AutoEdge concerns your dealership's own customers and prospects. Your dealership owns its customer data. AutoEdge processes and stores that data solely to provide the services requested by your dealership, under your instructions and this policy. AutoEdge does not claim ownership of dealership or customer data.
Connected services
AutoEdge may integrate with services such as:
- Inventory providers
- DMS integrations
- Credit providers
- SMS providers
- Email providers
- Website hosting
- Accounting software
- AI services
Only the information necessary to complete the requested integration is shared.
International data transfers
AutoEdge is operated from the United States. Your data may be stored and processed in the United States and in the facilities of the service providers described above.
Data retention & deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, and longer where the law requires it.
Certain records — including deal, financing, title, and odometer documents — carry multi-year legal retention obligations, so we keep them even after they are no longer needed for the service. We have not established a fixed retention schedule for every category of data. Until we do, we keep information no longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected or as the law requires, and on account closure we delete or anonymize dealership data we are not required to retain.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit
- Encryption at rest
- Role-based permissions
- Authentication controls
- Audit logging
- Continuous monitoring
- Regular backups
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.
Your choices & rights
You can access and update most information directly in AutoEdge. Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

- Correct inaccurate information
- Export your information
- Delete your information
- Restrict certain processing

Children's privacy
AutoEdge is intended for businesses and is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated in-product or by email, and the “Last updated” date above will change.
SMS/Text Messaging
If you opt in to receive text messages from a dealership using AutoEdge, we and the dealership use your mobile number solely to send you messages about your inquiry, appointment, or vehicle purchase. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Message frequency varies based on your inquiry and appointment activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages, or HELP for assistance.
